Master Sergeant Gilbert A. Filsinger

 

Master Sergeant Gilbert A. Filsinger, formerly of Roan Mountain, Tennessee and Temple Terrace, Florida, passed away on February 28, 2026.

 

Mr. Filsinger was born near Deer Park, Maryland. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his military service, he continued a long and dedicated career as a manager with Motorola for another 20 years.

 

Gilbert was a man of many interests and talents. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, restoring classic Triumph automobiles, and working on Ford pickup trucks. He found great satisfaction in bringing old vehicles back to life and sharing music with family and friends.

 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Edna Elizabeth Filsinger, and their four sons: Brian, James, Keith, and Jerry. He is also survived by five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

 

Gilbert will be remembered for his service, dedication to his family, and the many passions that brought him joy throughout his life.

 

Services will be held Tuesday, March 10th, 2026 at The National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave

Bushnell, FL 33513 at 2:00pm.
